JAYSON SHAW CROWNED MOST VALUABLE PLAYER

The Mosconi Cup is one of the most anticipated events of the World Nineball Tour. This year, it ended a Matchroom’s season which totalled more than 40 events worldwide. This 2024 edition of the Mosconi Cup has been special in many ways. First, because Team Europe won its 5th consecutive title against Team USA. Second, because Team Europe’s Captain Jayson Shaw has showed throughout the event the full extent of his talent and broke new records in the History of the World Nineball Tour.

Jayson Shaw has just claimed the 7th Mosconi Cup title of his career. He also won his 3rd MVP award in this event. But more importantly, Jayson Shaw has become the first-ever player to be crowned MVP as a playing captain! If you watched him played during those 4 days, it is easy to understand why.

Besides all his Team wins, Jayson Shaw defeated Fedor Gorst 5-2, the current Nineball World Champion who made the first-ever grand slam in the Tour History by winning the World Pool Masters, the World Pool Championship and the US Open Pool Championship. And on the last day of the Mosconi Cup, Jayson Shaw delivered a 5-0 whitewash against Team USA’s Captain Skyler Woodward.
